The Tempest - William Shakespeare I never thought I would rate Shakespeare as just "ok," but there, I've done it. I had seen a movie called The Tempest when I was pretty young (though after trying to find it now, I'm thinking I dreamed it) and it really excited me and I always wanted to see it again. I assumed that it was at least loosely related to Shakespeare's work. What a feat it was, if someone got something that wonderful from this little bit of fluff. If anyone else had said that about Shakespeare, I would have thought they just didn't appreciate him. This, though, just wasn't anything like I had ever imagined it would be. Good thing most of his other work is the standard he is judged by.
